As Director of IT Operations, you are responsible for the stable, secure, and scalable operation of IT and for leading the IT Operations team. In close collaboration with internal stakeholders, you manage the tech stack and oversee budget and resource planning. You ensure that processes are efficient, transparent, and risk-aware, and that they are continuously optimized.
In addition, you foster the continuous development of your team, ensure the necessary qualifications are in place, and establish structures for sustainable growth. With strategic foresight and consistent leadership, you strengthen the performance and future readiness of IT, thereby making a significant contribution to the company’s overall success.

Your Tasks

 

  • IT Operations: Responsibility for the stable and efficient operation of BS Digital.
  • Stakeholder Management: Close collaboration with stakeholders of the Boerse Stuttgart Group.
  • Team Interface: Ensuring collaboration between the IT operations team and the areas of security, scalability, and operations, as well as responsibility for supporting the product and engineering teams.
  • Tech Stack: Monitoring, evaluating, optimizing, and making decisions regarding the tech stack.
  • Risk Management & IT-SCM: Responsibility for process risks and serving as a decentralized IT-SCM manager.
  • People Leadership: Leading, developing, and training employees.
  • Organization & Planning: Coordinating the department and taking responsibility for workforce planning, recruitment, and department-specific content.
  • Budget & Cost Management: Active cost management and annual budget planning.

 

What You Bring to the Table

 

  • Background: Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
  • Professional Experience: Several years of experience in IT operations or a comparable environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Several years of experience in the financial sector.
  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with common IT standards and methodologies, e.g. ITIL, agile methods, ISO 27001, IT Baseline Protection, SOC2.
  • Professional Expertise: Knowledge of modern IT architectures and their implementation.
  • Leadership Skills: Experience leading agile DevOps teams and processes, combined with a transformational leadership style.
  • Provider & Sourcing Management: Experience in outsourcing management.
