4. Use of Google Analytics 4
We use Google Analytics for the purpose of demand-oriented design and continuous optimization of our websites and for measuring the reach and user flows. Google Analytics is provided to us by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, (parent company: Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA). We have concluded an order processing agreement with Google for the use of Google Analytics. Through this contract, Google assures that they process the data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation and ensure the protection of the rights of the data subject. In addition, we will only transfer your data if you expressly consent to the processing by Google.
Web analytics records, among other things, data on which website a visitor came to a website from (so-called referrers), which subpages of the website were accessed or how often and for how long a subpage of the website was accessed or how often and for how long a subpage was viewed. In addition to web analysis, we may also use test procedures, for example, to test and optimize different versions of our online offering or its components.
During your website visit, the following data is recorded, among others: Pages viewed, your behavior on the pages (for example, dwell time, clicks, scrolling behavior), your approximate location (country and city), your IP address with IP anonymization activated (in shortened form, so that no clear assignment is possible), technical information such as browser, Internet provider, terminal device and screen resolution, source of origin of your visit (i.e. via which website or via which advertising medium you came to us). No personal data such as name, address or contact details are ever transferred to Google Analytics. The information generated by the cookies set by Google Analytics about the use of our website is transmitted to Google servers in the USA and processed there. The transmitted data are only pseudonyms, a conclusion to your name is not possible.
Google Analytics 4 also enables the creation of statistics with statements about the age, gender and interests of website users on the basis of an evaluation of interest-based advertising and with the involvement of third-party information via a special function known as "demographic characteristics". This makes it possible to determine and distinguish user groups of the website for the purpose of targeting marketing measures. However, data collected via the "demographic characteristics" cannot be assigned to a specific person and thus not to you personally. This data collected via the "demographic characteristics" function is retained for two months and then deleted.
In connection with this website, the Google Signals service is also used as an extension of Google Analytics 4. With Google Signals, we can have Google create cross-device reports (so-called "cross-device tracking"). If you have activated "personalized ads" in your Google account settings and linked your Internet-enabled end devices to your Google account, Google can analyze usage behavior across devices and create database models based on this if you have given your consent to the use of Google Analytics 4 in accordance with Art. 6 (1) a DSGVO. The logins and device types of all website users who were logged into a Google account and executed a conversion are taken into account. The data shows, among other things, on which device you clicked on an ad for the first time and on which device the relevant conversion took place. We do not receive any personal data from Google in this regard, but only statistics compiled on the basis of Google Signals. You have the option of deactivating the "personalized ads" function in the settings of your Google account and thus turning off the cross-device analysis in connection with Google Signals. To do this, follow the instructions on this page: https://support.google.com/ads/answer/2662922?hl=de
You can revoke your consent at any time for the future via our consent management tool. If you do not agree to the collection of data, you can also prevent it by installing the browser add-on to deactivate Google Analytics (https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de) or by rejecting cookies via our cookie settings dialog.
Legal basis of data processing
The legal basis is your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO.
