Stephan Simmang

Stephan Simmang has been Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Boerse Stuttgart Group since August 2025.

Previously, he was a member of the Management Board and Chief Technology Officer of flatexDEGIRO AG as well as CTO of flatexDEGIRO Bank AG. In these roles, he was responsible for technology strategy, regulatory compliance, and the international IT organization.

Prior to that, Stephan Simmang spent nearly two decades in various international leadership roles at Goldman Sachs, including as Head of IT Banking Divisional Services in Frankfurt and as an Executive Director overseeing various global teams.

Stephan Simmang studied Electrical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. In addition to his executive responsibilities, he serves as a lecturer at the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management.
