Today marks a major milestone for us: Boerse Stuttgart Group, which initiated Seturion, is the first exchange group in Europe to obtain the DLT Trading and Settlement System (TSS) license under the DLT Pilot Regime. The license provides the regulatory foundation for Seturion to operate as a pan-European digital settlement platform.

Why is this important? Post-trade in Europe is organized in national silos. Seturion overcomes this fragmentation. By building Seturion as a digital settlement platform that is open to banks, brokers, and trading venues across Europe, we contribute to an efficient capital market, in full alignment with European regulation. Trading venues that connect can offer trading of tokenized assets – without requiring their own DLT license.

The license was granted by BaFin, following a licensing process conducted together with ESMA and the ECB. It marks a significant milestone for European market infrastructure.
